What happens at a Discovery Session?
A certified teacher explains what makes TM different, how transcending works, what the research suggests and what learning involves. You can ask anything, and there are a few minutes at the end to speak with the teacher privately.
Do I need to decide anything on the day?
No. The session is free and there is no obligation to enrol. If you want to learn afterwards, your teacher will explain the next steps.
What if I cannot clear my mind?
Nothing is cleared. Thoughts carry on during the practice and the technique works through them rather than against them. If you can think, you can do this.
Is TM religious?
No. TM is a technique, not a belief system, and it asks for no change in what you believe. The first session of instruction opens with a short traditional ceremony of thanks performed by your teacher; you watch, and nothing is asked of you.
